A master's thesis at the University of Basra discussing the religious beliefs of the Children of Israel in ancient times
The master’s thesis at the College of Education for Girls by the student Makarem Ihsan Sobeih discussed the religious beliefs of the Children of Israel in ancient times (the attributes of God Almighty and the personal attributes of the prophets as an example).
The thesis included an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion in which it dealt with the origins of the Children of Israel, their naming, and the stages of their political history, as well as the attributes of God Almighty among the Children of Israel.
The thesis also touched on the characteristics of the prophets, peace be upon them, among the children of Israel, whether they are praiseworthy or offensive.
The study concluded that the children of Israel, despite the many heavenly books revealed to them, such as the Torah, the Psalms, and the Gospel, and the large number of prophets sent to them, beliefs spread that described God Almighty with qualities that do not befit human beings, even though their first fathers were monotheists, but their children were influenced by the peoples around them.
