Dr. Amal Muhammad Abdul-Kareem, a lecturer at the College of Education for Women, University of Basra, published a research entitled "Textual Tools Used by Diaspora Poets: Rashid Ayoub, as a Model" in the International Journal “Remak for Humanity and Social Sciences” of the Turkish University.

The research included a study of the textual tools of the poets of the Diaspora who introduced all that is new to Arabic poetry as a result of their association with the West after the stagnancy and dullness it had passed through during modern times. The textual tools included those linking words and sentences, the tools of linking pronouns, referrals, etc., and their application in the migratory poetry, specifically for the complainant poet Rashid Ayoub.

The research also provided an overview of the reasons for the emigration of those poets, the Western artistic features they acquired, and the modern poetic styles they introduced into Arabic poetry.
