University of Basra holds a course on how to write a journalistic article and the steps to acquire journalistic skills

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Girls held a course on how to write a newspaper article and the steps to acquire journalistic skills, presented by the two teachers, Hadeel Adel Kamel and Aseel Abdel-Yimah Kazem, from the University of Baghdad, College of Languages.

The course aimed to teach the basics of the art of writing a journalistic article, how to capture ideas and transform events and facts from the level of mental perception and visual viewing into written language.

The course dealt with identifying the types of newspaper articles and the characteristics of each type, in addition to understanding the importance of preparing and writing various types of newspaper articles, as well as learning about the basic rules for writing an article and how to select sources and benefit from them.
