
University of Basra organizes a symposium on ethics and its impact on character building
The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a symposium on ethics and its impact on character building, presented by lecturer Sarah Ibrahim.
The symposium discussed the definition of morals, which is a group of qualities such as character, character, and chivalry. The family represents the foundation that builds the behavior of the individual. Therefore, religions and civilized societies have paid attention to building the family and emphasized its cohesion.
The symposium touched on the function of ethics in building the individual, including the formation of the spirit of goodness in the individual, the spirit of human brotherhood and awareness of the unity of social life, as well as the spirit of attachment to society.
The symposium discussed moral education and its role in eliminating crimes and deviations, as it is a means of building a good individual, a good society, a good state, and a good human civilization.
