A lecturer at University of Basra publishes an article about the role of the family in developing children’s friendship skills

Dr. Rafif Abdel Hafez Al-Riahi, a teacher in the Department of Educational and Pedagogical Sciences, published an article about the role of the family in developing children’s friendship skills in Beaches magazine, which is issued by the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University of Basra.

I discussed that sometimes a child is afraid to interact with others, either because of a deficiency in his social skills, or because he is afraid of being rejected by his peers.
She added that it is necessary for parents and teachers to encourage him to take the initiative and repeat it after reassuring him and convincing him to have friends to spend his free time with and play with.

She confirmed that even an aggressive child can be helped by friendship by engaging in play to get rid of aggression and gain a measure of psychological control when playing with his peers.
