Basra University organizes a seminar on the Azerbaijani-Armenian war 2020 AD, a study of the past and the challenges of the present.
The College of Eduction for Women at Basra University organized a seminar entitled "The Azerbaijani-Armenian war 2020 AD" in the presence of a number of lecturers of the Department of History.
The seminar presented by Dr.Haider Abdul wahid Nasser Al-Tadrisi in the Department of History aims to know the causes of the Azerbaijani -Armenian war in 2020 AD, and the role of the Karabakh Provence (qrih bagh) and the border regions between Azerbaijan and Armenia in this conflict, as well as to explain the historical background of this conflict between the two countries, which extends since the year 1918 AD to the present day. The seminar explained that the conflict in the South Caucasus region is an old and renewed conflict due to external interference in this region, specifically after the Soviet occupation of the Southern Caucasus region. The victory in those battles was in favor of the Armenian forces and militias that were receiving Soviet support. As for in July of this year 2020 AD, these battles continued for forty days, during which the victory went to the Azerbaijani forces that received assistance and support from the Turkish forces.
