The College of Education for Women organized an electronic lecture on the insult against Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) between historical narration and Orientalist text presented by the History Department in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit. The lecture delivered by the lecturer, Abbas Qassem Atiya Al-Mariani, included producing the concept of insulting and showing the historical texts that insult the noble Prophet Muhammad (peace may be upon him), and responding to them through the noble Quranic verses, also dealing with some orientalists who exploited these weak narratives for the purpose of insulting the Prophet Muhammad in their writings. Such lectures aim to respond to anything that might distort the image of our noble Prophet ( peace be upon him), specifically after the recent campaign of abuse against him in some Western media outlets, also to refine some Islamic sources that mentioned these abuses in their folds. The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul-Wahid Zyara Al-Mansouri, and Dr. Sabeeh Nuri Al-Hilfi, Head of the History Department, as well as a number of the college lectures and lecturers from other colleges.
