University of Basra organizes a voluntary campaign for afforestation.

 

The College of Education at the University of Basra organized a voluntary campaign to plant trees and restore the college gardens in support of preserving the environment and in an effort to confront climate change.

The campaign aimed to enhance the foundations and principles of a clean and exemplary environment, which requires providing a healthy climate and a suitable environmental atmosphere for the college's employees, in addition to improving the aesthetic appearance of the college's courtyards to enhance environmental sustainability, as this in turn causes many positive changes that will affect the increase in green spaces and the number of perennial trees as a basic factor in humidifying the atmosphere, as it will contribute to strengthening the green belt and reducing temperatures," stressing that

"Afforestation campaigns are a message "Planted today for the future of future generations."

A group of college cadres, teaching staff of the Geography Department, technicians and administrators participated in the tree planting campaign to instill a sense of responsibility in each individual in preserving a clean environment.
