A lecturer at Basra University Participates in an International Conference on Care of the Children with Autism Spectrum

   Hana Abdul-Nabi Al-Abadi, a lecturer at the College of Education for Women at Basra University, participated in a conference on children with autism spectrum, set up by the Psychological Research Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with Al-Jawhara Organization for Education and Public Services.

   The research, which was entitled “The Effect of Moral Reinforcement in Reducing Stress in Children with Autism”, included the aspect of reinforcement, which is an important factor and a necessary condition, and must be carried out under conditions in which the correct or acceptable response is rewarded. The teacher has a major role in creating good educational conditions in the classroom for autistic children.

   The research aims to contribute to treating the disorders of children with autism spectrum and to help this group to practice communication and to participate with society, to create the appropriate atmosphere for learning and to encourage shy and low-level children to participate in social activities.
