The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra held a banquet to commemorate the death of Sayyida Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her).

The banquet included a recitation of the Holy Quran and a brief biography of Sayyida Fatima bint Hizam al-Kalabiyya, nicknamed Umm al-Baneen, and to commemorate her sacrifices for the sake of upholding the word of Islam and Muslims, confronting injustice and oppressors, and supporting the family of the Prophet (peace be upon them).
