
The thesis, submitted by researcher Amani Taha Saleh in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, aimed to identify the most important teaching competencies required by primary school teachers in Basra Governorate. It also aimed to identify the extent of body language communication skills among primary school teachers in Basra Governorate, as well as the relationship between teaching competence and body language communication skills among primary school teachers in Basra Governorate.
The thesis included five chapters. The first chapter addressed the research problem, its importance, research objectives, research limitations, and definition of terminology. The second chapter covered the theoretical background and previous studies. The third chapter covered the research methodology and procedures. The fourth chapter presented and interpreted the results. The fifth chapter included conclusions, recommendations, and proposals.
The thesis concluded with an increased focus on raising the level of teaching competence in line with developments and changes taking place in society. It also highlighted the importance of raising faculty members' awareness of the importance of mastering body language communication skills, given their tangible positive impacts in the short and long term.
