The University of Basra organized an educational seminar titled "The Art of Debate and Persuasion for Women Leaders."


The College of Education for Women at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Human Medicine at the University of Basra, organized an educational seminar titled "The Art of Debate and Persuasion for Women Leaders."
The seminar aimed to exchange views and experiences on the topic, hone language skills, improve public speaking and public speaking skills, encourage teamwork, and develop the ability to construct well-reasoned arguments and rely on evidence and proof.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Fadia Yaqoub Youssef, included the most famous debates throughout history and their importance. Assistant Lecturer Noura Hamid Hassan explained the concept of the science of debate and its tools.
The seminar recommended that debates are not merely arguments, but rather a powerful tool for developing critical thinking and developing public speaking and persuasion skills. It is an opportunity to foster respectful dialogue, learn from different perspectives, and hone the ability to express ideas clearly and precisely. Therefore, encourage the practice of debate as a tool for personal growth, and continually learn to become confident and persuasive communicators.
