Dr. Rifaat Abdullah Jassim, the teaching in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, presented an electronic workshop on verbal and non-verbal communication between the teacher and the student.
The workshop included an explanation of the types of communication, methods of overcoming obstacles, and the competencies that teachers must have in order to succeed in the teaching profession.
He also touched upon the interest in preparing the teaching staff on the psychological, personal, social and moral levels, since teaching is one of the professions that requires a set of moral and personal competencies, and that obtaining the highest academic ranks and academic certificates is not sufficient in itself or qualifies to practice the teaching process.
