Seminar in the College of Education for Girls / Department of Geography on (the exchange rate between escalation and depreciation - a scientific economic vision)

A panel discussion was held in the College of Education for Girls / Department of Geography entitled (The exchange rate between escalation and devaluation - a scientific economic vision)
The panel discussion presented by the teacher, Wael Qasim Rashid, included a comparative study between the process of devaluing the dinar or increasing it in relation to the dollar.
The panel discussion aims to review the expected benefits of raising and lowering the exchange rate, as well as the expected disadvantages of the two operations
The study showed that the process of rapid depreciation of the exchange rate will cause losses and damages to the state, merchants and exporters. It also does not contribute to lowering prices by a small percentage that does not exceed 5% for reasons related to external imported inflation factors and internal factors related to the nature of price flexibility, its cost structure and the nature of the Iraqi market, which is the opposite of what everyone will expect at first glance that the reduction It will create magic in stimulating markets and economic activity and helping the poor's poor livelihood, but economic scientific facts said otherwise
