An electronic symposium at the University of Basra on (Difficulties in Translating Religious Text)

The Division of Continuing Education in the College of Education for Girls / University of Basra organized an electronic symposium on (Difficulties in Translating Religious Text)
The symposium presented by Musaed Enas Sadiq Hamoudi and teacher Khalil Awain Farhan aimed at the possibility of translating the Holy Qur’an and what are the difficulties that the translator will face.
The symposium included the great attention given to the issue of translating the Holy Books historically, and how the clergy had positions towards translating them between supporters and opponents, and this is what we see in all monotheistic religions.
The symposium showed which is more correct to say, translating the Holy Qur’an or translating the meanings of the Holy Qur’an? Does the translator’s knowledge of the Arabic language suffice for translating the Holy Qur’an correctly, or is the translator required to possess the religious culture along with the Arabic language?
