
The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra organized a symposium on "Experiences of Distinguished Women in Iraqi Society" as part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week held by the Technology Incubator Unit at the College of Education for Girls in cooperation with the Technology Incubator Division at the University of Basra.
The symposium aimed to highlight the role of women in society as a model that other women can emulate and to generalize ways of success to functional cadres and university students to benefit from these experiences and consolidate them in society.
The symposium, in which Dr. Hanaa Abdul Nabi lectured, included stories of success and excellence, and experiences of Iraqi women who challenged obstacles, as distinguished and leading women emerged with their abilities and capabilities to innovate and excel in proving their existence and personalities by establishing development projects and bearing responsibility in family, social and humanitarian fields.
The international trainer, Dunya Asaad Issa, participated, who shared the story of Her success and challenges as an ambitious woman.
Dr. Rafeef Al-Riyahi highlighted a number of creative female figures in their field of work and in various fields at the academic, social and other levels in which Iraqi women excelled. Their names have been immortalized in history, such as architect Zaha Hadid, Iraqi physician Sanha Balqis, Mufida Abdulrahman, Amal Alam Al-Din, Tawhida Bin Al-Sheikh, Fadwa Touqan, Fatima Bin Salem Al-Maamari and Ghada Al-Samman.
The symposium recommended that students benefit from the experiences of others and continue striving for success no matter the challenges, while staying away from life's distractions.
