University of Basra organizes a scientific workshop entitled "Psychological and Social Crimes of the Former Regime"

 

The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Cultural Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled "Psychological and Social Crimes of the Former Regime".

The symposium, which was held by the Head of the Rehabilitation Division at the College of Education for Girls, Dr. Fadia Yaqoub, aimed to identify the psychological and social crimes of the former regime and their impact on Iraqi society.

The workshop included comparing the regimes that ruled Iraq, analyzing the causes, stating the results that were reached, giving a complete picture to the students, and consolidating in their minds the period that they did not live through at that time.

It also included showing a documentary film about the history of the former regime 1979-2003 to the second-year students, with the presentation of reports by the students on the most prominent psychological and social crimes practiced by the former regime, including (the crime of Dujail, the crime of draining the marshes and mass graves, and the killing and displacement of clerics and scholars).
