The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Women organized an awareness seminar on tobacco pollution and drug dealers. The seminar was titled "Drugs: A Scourge That Consumes the Harvest." The seminar aimed to raise awareness among the college's female students about this dangerous scourge affecting both the individual and society. The seminar included three sessions. The first session, presented by Assistant Teacher Sarah Abdul Kadhim Zughair, covered the concept of drugs in language and terminology, as well as some of their general effects.
The second session, presented by Dr. Kawthar Abdul Ghani Jabr, addressed the role of drugs in disrupting family relationships and interpersonal relationships, and their impact on health and mental well-being. The third session, presented by Dr. Kawthar Abdul Ghani Nayef, focused on the Islamic legal perspective on drug use and dealers, emphasizing that the Quran, the most important source of Islamic law, provides legal guidance on drugs and drug trafficking.
